Anuar Perez Escaf
Anuar was born and raised in Barranquilla, Colombia surrounded by a family of architects and real estate developers. He graduated as a civil engineer from Universidad de Los Andes. In 2010 he joined Tríada, one of Colombia´s top development firms. There, he performed as Project Manager and led the Land Acquisition Department. He has participated and acquired land for affordable housing developments that sum up 7,100 units. He is also responsible for the first Business Center developed by Tríada located in Bogotá: a 200,000 square foot LEED office building, with a budget of USD $45MM.
Prior to joining Tríada, Anuar worked for seven years at Procter & Gamble on a wide range of assignments in the marketing and sales departments. There, he acquired a set of business skills that would later be crucial on his real estate career. He was involved in activities related to shopper understanding, leadership and strategy, decision-making, human resources management and communication skills.
Colombia is full of opportunities. Entire towns and cities are being developed from scratch. Anuar is eager to address these development challenges and looks forward to acquiring the necessary tools at MIT’s MSRED.
