As the son of a Civil Engineer, David became interested in development and construction at a young age. He followed in his father’s footsteps by studying Civil Engineering at Northeastern University. For the past 10 years, David’s career has flourished as an engineering and development permitting consultant at VHB. As part of VHB’s Boston office, David has worked for many of the City’s premier institutions and developers. His most recent experience includes notable projects such as the relocation of Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, The Van Ness in the Fenway, the Landmark Center Redevelopment, Ink Block and Northeastern University’s Interdisciplinary Science and Engineering Complex.
At MIT, David seeks to build on his extensive experience by developing a greater understanding of real estate finance and economics. He plans to transition to a role in real estate development and investment. He is particularly interested in creating sustainable developments that have a positive impact on the surrounding community.
David is a member of the Zoning Board in his hometown of Melrose, Massachusetts and a registered Professional Engineer. He enjoys spending time with his wife Amanda and his two young sons, Alden and William. He is a skilled builder and has enjoyed remodeling much of his own home.
