Born and raised in India, Kailash moved to Switzerland to earn his Diploma in Hotel Management at Institut Hotelier Cesar Ritz. Soon afterwards, he accepted a job at Gulf Bay Group of Companies, a real estate development company in Naples, Florida. While at Gulf Bay, Kailash was involved in preparing forecasts, business plans, feasibility and valuation models for a 4,000 acre, 6,000 units master-planned community and for two luxury Hi-Rise condominium buildings. As the Assistant Controller, he directed the financial reporting and external audit process for several construction and real estate development entities. During his time in Naples, Kailash attended Florida Gulf Coast University and earned his undergraduate and graduate degrees in Accounting and Taxation and passed the CPA exam.
In 2009, Kailash moved to New York City, where he accepted a position within the Real Estate Assurance group at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). As a Senior Associate, he audited several high profile private equity real estate funds. Kailash gained extensive exposure to real estate investment concepts by analyzing various acquisition and disposition transactions, real estate investment valuations and commercial mortgage securitizations.
While at MIT, Kailash seeks to expand his knowledge of real estate finance and capital markets and focus on real estate investments.
In his spare time, Kailash likes to travel and explore different countries and cultures, read non-fiction books and watch movies and sports.
