After graduating with a Bachelor of Science from the University of Alberta with a double major in Mathematics and Statistics and Applied Probability, Kim began her real estate career with The City of Calgary as a property assessor. Given her education, she specialized in the development of statistical models that were used to value hundreds of thousands of properties each year. While Kim has appraised a diverse range of property, including single residential, multi-residential, industrial, retail, and office, she specialized in the assessment of luxury residential real estate.
For the past year, Kim has led the single residential valuation team for the City of Calgary. In this demanding position, she oversaw the annual valuation of over 400,000 properties worth approximately $178 billion. In addition to her valuation work, she was responsible for developing communication strategies, serving as an expert witness in the defence of assessment matters, training and coaching assessors, and reporting to executive management regarding residential assessment issues.
In her free time Kim enjoys running with her golden retrievers, reading, and travelling.
