Sanghoon (David) Jeon
Born and raised in South Korea, David was greatly influenced by his parents, a volunteer nurse and an architecture professor, in setting his life’s goal, benefiting society with his talent. After graduating with BE Arch in 2006, he started his career in the real estate finance sector under the belief that finance plays a key role in the real estate industry.
For the past seven years, he has worked at KB Real Estate Trust, a real estate arm of KB Financial Group. Experiencing various real estate development and investment projects ranging from a small-sized commercial property to an extensive mixed-use development, he learned essential knowledge and skills in property finance and development. Moreover, he led several Project Financing Vehicles for large scale projects from the establishment, obtaining an A to Z experience in the real estate development business.
At MIT, he is looking forward to gaining profound insights into the global real estate industry, learning advanced investment models and building strong connections with other key market players. After graduation, he plans to join a global private equity firm as an investment manager and ultimately run his own investment advisory firm specializing in urban revitalization in order to contribute to making society a better place.
