A Boston native, Dan joins MIT with 13 years of real estate asset management and acquisitions experience. Immediately prior to starting the program, he spent 7 years at the Baupost Group where he was a principal and asset manager responsible for overseeing equity and debt investments in several real estate asset classes throughout the United States, Asia and Europe. Before Baupost, Dan was a senior associate at Clarion Partners, where he worked on the firm’s opportunity fund series, Clarion Development Ventures, and, prior to that, had roles in industrial investment sales at CB Richard Ellis and office & industrial acquisitions at the Archon Group. He received his BA in Government with a minor in Spanish from Georgetown University.
At MIT, Dan plans to deepen his understanding of the architectural, engineering and planning aspects of real estate development and to broaden his network within the Boston real estate community. Coming out of MIT, Dan plans to work as a real estate operator and developer with a focus on Greater Boston and New England.
When free, Dan enjoys spending time with his wife, watching long form improv and stand-up comedy (he used to perform both), trying to learn Portuguese and practicing Brazilian jiu-jitsu.
