Himanshu joins MIT with an aspiration to expand his horizons in the field of Real Estate Finance. He has a decade of experience across the real estate finance value chain including Acquisitions, Underwriting, Asset Management, and Disposition. He has handled a portfolio of over $ 2 billion in individual as well as leadership capacities. He is looking to build on top of his existing capabilities and explore new facets of real estate. He is particularly interested in exploring disruptive technologies in the field of real estate. At MIT, he is looking to collaborate with high-potential professionals, equip himself with formative knowledge, and leverage his capabilities to solve complex real estate finance problems.

Recently, Himanshu has worked as Associate Vice President in the Real Estate Division at Kotak Mahindra Bank, the second- largest private bank in India. During his stint, Himanshu managed an independent team of analysts handling the real estate lending (debt) and investment (equity) function across multiple locations in India. Before Kotak, Himanshu worked at ICICI Bank, the largest private bank in India, in various capacities progressing from an Analyst to Senior Associate handling real estate finance covering functions such as Acquisitions, Credit, Compliance, Legal, Risk, and Monitoring. He has worked across various types of real estate assets including commercial, residential, industrial, and hotel assets.

Himanshu is an Engineer by qualification and holds an MBA in Finance from Management Development Institute, Gurgaon, India. He has completed certification of Financial Risk Manager by GARP.
