Born and raised in Seoul, Korea, Jeehee has background in Architecture/Construction and joined MIT with a profound interest in Asian development market. At MIT, she hopes to expand her perspectives to prior stages in delivering developement project.
She has worked as an engineer at Samsung C&T for 6 years, of which experience ranging from office building, mixed-use buildings, and FAB facilities in Asia. She first worked as a field engineer for two years at Samsung Electronics office building consturction project in Korea.She then joined Shangril-La Phase2 project in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, where she found her interest in global development projects. During these 3 years in Mongolia, she was a project control engineer operating budget, managing contract issues, and coordinating overall project delivery. More recently, as a technical engineer at the headquarters, she has developed and applied new trends of technologies such as IoT and digital methods to the construction site.
Prior to her professional career, she received bachelor’s degree in architecture at Hongik University. As an architect major, she studied architecture design from early stages of real estate development which entail defining concepts, analyzing sites, and planning designs.
She is interested in flexible forms of development such as shared real estate and renovation development, and believes that spaces which can change and grow actively by adjusting to life or work patterns of the users are ideal.
