Mengjing (Roxanne) Ni
Roxanne received a Bachelor of Commerce with Distinction from The University of Toronto, majoring in finance and economics. After graduation, Roxanne decided to return to Shanghai and joined Jones Lang LaSalle. She spent more than three years in the strategic consulting department, where she witnessed the strong growth of the development of real estate industry in China through various projects across the country. As a manager, she led multiple functions to provide regional planning reports, Highest and Best Use (HBU) analysis, and urban regeneration studies to local governments and large-scale developers.
More recently, Roxanne switched to Goodman group, an Australian listed industrial development, and fund management company. In Goodman, she worked on acquisition and sales of properties on behalf of Goodman China Logistics Partnership (Goodman China and its strategic partner—Canadian Pension Plan Investment Board), who had expanded its investments up to 2 billion US dollars in Q1, 2016. Within 2 years, Roxanne assisted with more than $60mil property and land acquisitions based on market assessment, feasibility studies, and financial analysis.
At MIT, Roxanne plans to further enhance her experience in real estate finance and analysis focusing on global investment and development. In her free time, Roxanne enjoys travelling, practicing yoga, and she is also interested in art and food.
