Over his 15 years’ career Nicolas has spent 9 years in a manager role with Big 4 companies (PwC and EY) where he acquired wide and eclectic experience in very different service lines. He was namely in charge of the valuation of real estate properties, infrastructure, oil fields, drill ships and biotechnology startup companies. Leading the real estate modelling department he also developed underwriting models for funds investing in sustainable real estate in Scandinavia as well as cash waterfall models in the context of the unwinding of complex private equity real estate structures.
He participated in international tax restructurings of industry major players where he could contribute his transfer pricing and accounting advisory skills. He was also the manager in charge of the statutory audit of Prologis European Properties Fund and participated in the IPO of Prologis on Euronext Amsterdam. Before joining MIT he was in charge of valuation and risk management for real estate, infrastructure and private equity alternative funds managed by MDO under the AIFM European Directive.
Aside from his professional activities he also carried out real estate development for his own account as he successfully transformed a farm located close to Luxembourg City into a multi-family property.
Born and raised in Belgium, Nicolas graduated from HEC School of Management with a Master of Sciences in Business Engineering. A CFA and FRM charter holder currently in the process of obtaining the CPA license in New York. He loves travelling, sailing, cooking (French and Italian) and Victorian architecture.
