Alice (Yi) Chen
Passionate about building places of dreams, Alice joins MIT Center for Real Estate after 4 years of solid experience in real estate development.
Alice obtained her business bachelor degree from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Having lived in Hong Kong, China and UK for academic and professional reasons, Alice obtained an international vision regarding diverse lifestyles and thus grew interests in building places to enable them.
Prior to joining MIT, Alice started her career as a management trainee of Shui On Land, a renowned Hong Kong listed developer. During the 3-year rotation, Alice gained an extensive exposure to both commercial and residential property industry. She actively participated in various functions, including master planning, product design, business development, leasing and operation, sales and marketing. Alice graduated from the trainee program with a sales record of the highest revenue contribution among fellow trainees. She then specialized in high-end residential sales and marketing, and dedicated herself to building better lives for cities.
At MIT Center for Real Estate, Alice will also serve as a Samuel Tak Lee Real Estate Entrepreneurship Graduate Fellow. With this fellowship, she hopes to study emerging Asian real estate markets in depth, and to further explore aspects of innovation and social responsibility in real estate development.
At her leisure time, Alice enjoys various activities. She used to travel around the world participating in British Parliament debating tournaments. She continued to train fresh debaters after college. Alice is quite an innovative baker and painter, which allow her to create original souvenirs for important occasions. Alice also loves to dance, she developed her own aerobics practice.
